Sister Edholm -- week 25

Hello!!

This week started out not the greatest, as one of our friends who was supposed to get baptised on the 26, texted us and told us that he didn't want to anymore and that he was too old to change, it broke our hearts! In District Meeting, we went over President Donaldson's letter and it was all about Elder Pace of the seventies talk in 1992, October Conference. It was really good. One of our zone leaders was in with us and talked about it and said, we need to let our investigators make their own choices, because sometimes, we want to wrap them up in bubble wrap, so that nothing happens to them, but that doesn't help them learn. I though that that was so inspired, we do need to make sure that they are making their own mistakes and someday our friend will be baptised and receive that ultimate happiness for himself!

We had a pretty good week, considering though! We were able to see some of our friends that we haven't in awhile. I truly love the people here, even if I am just talking to them for 2 seconds, I know that this work is of God, and I feel as the people in Mosiah 28:3 feel! I want everyone to hear about this wonderful gospel and the happiness that it can bring to them.

We had the great opportunity on Saturday to see the Nashville tribute band perform, it was broadcasted to us in Ireland, because it was live in Edinburgh. It was so cool!

Love you all, have a great week!

Sister Edholm -- week 24

UNSWEETENED GRAPEFRUIT JUICE

Hello all!

This week was pretty stressful, but we got through it!

We taught the 15 step program for one of our friends who wants to stop smoking, so that he can be baptised. One of the most important steps on it is to drink unsweetened grapefruit juice. We couldn't find it ANYWHERE. We walked around our are for 4 hours, going into every store searching for it! It was no where to be found. We were a little bit stressed, because the lesson was that day. We called our bishop and he was able to find a place. So finally we walked 30 minutes just to get unsweetened grapefruit juice, but it was worth it because he has been off cigarettes for 4 days now!!

We are so excited for this work that we are dong. Everyday, we have a new challenge, but that is missionary work and life in general! As we continue to study our scriptures and turn to Heavenly Father for our guidance, we won't need to worry if we are in the right place, or saying the right things. As long as we are keeping God's commandments and truly striving to be the best that we can be, the Spirit will guide us to the people that we need to talk to.

Sometimes, I think that we worry to much about IF the Spirit will guide us, but we don't need to worry, it will guide us, but we need to do our part!

Oh also, last week we went to Dublin Castle and it was amazing!

I hope you all have an amazing week!!

LOVE YOU
