This week went fast, I know more Spanish than when I came in, but I still feel like I don’t know anything. We started TRC this week, and the person we are teaching is named Jessica, we taught her three lessons one on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday all in Spanish. That is the most stressful thing I have ever done, I kind of understood her but I don’t know Spanish enough to respond how I want. We teach her three times again next week, and then the last two weeks we teach a different person. I am having a pretty good time here, I feel like I will never be prepared enough to go out into the field. The devotionals are awesome, and my companion and I have to give the lesson in priesthood this Sunday so we’ll see how that turns out.

Elder Edholm -- week 1
So far the MTC has been pretty fun, once you get into a rhythm it’s not that bad. We eat breakfast, then have class for 3 hours, we then have lunch. From lunch until dinner, we have personal and companionship study, exercise time, and an hour of tutoring. Then it’s dinner, and after we another 3 hours of class time, then we get ready for bed.
I have actually met a couple of people that I know! I met two kids I went to school with a while ago and some kids I played against in sports! I met a 7 foot guy that is going to Oregon to play basketball after his mission so that is pretty cool.
The MTC is kinda weird, it’s hard to explain. For those who I haven’t told yet, my companion is Elder Berg, he is from Soda Springs Idaho, he super cool and I’m way glad he is my companion! He can do backflips!
Here are two pictures of my district.
Their names left to right from the picture of us on P-day at the field. Elder Hale, he is from South Jordan, Utah and plays lacrosse, and his companion Elder Jaeger who is from Maricopa Arizona and plays soccer, they are going to Trinidad. Elder Tebbs who is from Bryce Valley Utah and he plays basketball, he’s really good, and his companion Elder Whitehead who is from Colorado, and he also plays basketball, they are going to Bolivia too. Then me and Elder Berg. Then Elder Felker who is from L.A. who likes computers and technology, and his companion Elder Hamner who is from Saratoga Springs Utah and he likes movies, they are going to Madrid. Elder McGee who is from New Mexico, he is a gamer, and his companion Elder Patterson who is from snowflake Arizona and he likes to play football, they are also going to Madrid. And lastly Elder Nelson who is from Seattle who also played football and his companion Elder Hecker who is from Houston and he swims, they are going to Trinidad.
Andrew met a friend of Jaden Mickelson's at the MTC. He played basketball with Jaden.

Elder Edholm -- week 0.5
Andrew arrived safely at the MTC around 11:30am on Wednesday, July 10th, after flying from Cody to Denver to Salt Lake and catching the shuttle to the MTC. It was a long day for him since he got up at 2:00am so we could drive to Cody to catch the plane. We received a short email that night:
"1st day finished, I’m dead, p-day on Saturdays, goodnight."
We were able to Skype with him today for about 30 minutes. He looked awesome and says the schedule isn't too bad, but the days are long. He sent a few pictures, but didn't write an email this week.
Andrew said it feels like he's been at the MTC longer than four days and he likes it. He was very happy to get a package from his Aunt (my sister) on his second day! Spanish is coming along, what he learned in high school is helping him a bit. He also met someone from Star Valley that played football on the high school team. And to top it off his branch president was our stake president in Orem when Brian was a bishop, long before Andrew was born. He recognized our name and asked if Andy was related to Brian and said he could see the resemblance! What a blessing to make connections!

Elder Edholm -- week 0
Elder Edholm left for the Provo MTC early early this morning! He was set apart last night by President Cottrell and we snapped some photos then since we knew we would be looking better than we were at the airport at 4:30am.
