Stake Basketball -- Worland wins the Consolation Bracket

The Warriors had high hopes going into the State Basketball tournament in Casper but they lost their first game to Wheatland even though they were ahead for much of the game. But the boys rallied and won their next two to win the Consolation Bracket and come in 5th. They ended the season with a great win over Pinedale.  Andy played well and we will miss watching him on play. Palmer drove up from Logan to watch and we had a good couple of days together in Casper.

Andy is on the back row, #12

(some of us have issues with a camera, or maybe it's on purpose?)
This was Andy's last high school basketball game and it was a little bittersweet. Here are some videos I caught of this last game.

Diving Lucy

Lucy has been practicing diving for over a year now and finally had 4 dives down enough to dive at the swim meet. She did pretty well for her first time!

These pictures are of her warmup dives:

She also swims in the relay. The coaches make all the divers swim as well. Here she is happy I'm a timer and can be this close to take her picture!

Here is the best dive she did that day. She just needs to practice keeping her legs straight and together.

Peter and The Reading Machines

Peter participated in The Battle of the Books again this year. Last year his team, The Reading Machines, were the runners up. This year they were determined to win it all!  And they did!

They made their own t-shirts and Peter wanted to be #12 just like his big brother Andy!

Notice the words on his collar: Not Runnerup Again!

Team hard at work listening to the questions

The winners and their awards!

Each team had a turn to answer a question about one of the 20 books they needed to know everything about. Peter read 4 of them and between him and the rest of the team they had read 19 of the 20 books. It paid off and they were the champions!

Here they are answering a question correctly

And here they are announcing the winner. Peter had been keeping track in his head of the points and he actually thought they had tied. So he is a bit surprised when they announce his team as the champions!
