Sister Edholm -- week 72

HEYYY!!

This is going to be a quick email! We got moves call on Saturday and Sister Lagaaia and I are both leaving Pollok :(( I love Pollok and I am so glad that I was able to serve there for so long. When I left is was like leaving my home ward again haha. 

BUT I am loving my new area of ... BANGOR. I am serving with Sister Melcrová, she is from the Czech Republic. She has been out for 6 weeks. She is so cool and we are already having a lot of fun. Also in our area is Sister Kearns and Sister Khoo :)

Sister Edholm -- week 71

Happy Easter!!

We had a such a great week and saw a lot of miracles. 

We found a family that hasn't been active in 6 years and were able to bear testimony about the Plan of Salvation to them! 

We saw Mary on the bus and were able to meet her right then and set her with a date again. She also came to church finally!!! 

Another one of our friends came to church as well. His name is David and we GQed him in January and he responded to our church text. 

The work is great here in Pollok :)

Sister Edholm -- week 70

It has been a good week.

One of the Recent Convert's brought a family to church with him that the us and the elders are teaching. It is quite interesting because they don'e speak much English, so our whole lesson with them was through google translate. Haha it was pretty funny, but they are really excited to learn more about the church. :)

We also had a super fun dinner appointment with this old couple we found, they are the cutest, they are in their 80s. They treat us like their grandkids, they give us all types of things to bring home with us, but it isn't like gross expired things, it is delicious desserts. I love them.

Anyway was a really good week!! :))

Sister Edholm -- week 69

Holy cow!!

We had exchanges this week, I was with Sister Fahina. They went really well, she came to our area. We taught one of our friends named Mary. We had one of the members come and joint teach with us and it went so well!! This member befriended her on the spot and now Mary calls her Auntie Joan. It was the ideal experience when working with members. She taught a lot of the lesson too and Mary listened really intently to what she was saying.

General Conference was so good as well!! All the talks are getting bolder and bolder, nobody is beating around the bush anymore, which is good, I like that. 

I really liked the talk by Elder Uchtdorf and the 5 steps to doing missionary work. He made it plain and simple for how we can share with our friends the things that we know. As well as to always make sure that we are doing it with love, we can be bold, but if we aren't loving nothing happens!!!
