Sister Edholm -- week 30

"I'm a big woman with a big appetite, when I see food, I am going to eat it" - Adele

If you would have asked me in my 3rd transfer, when I was leaving Greenock, where I wanted to go, I would have said Ireland, because I wanted to have a chance of having at least 1 degree warmer weather and maybe one drip less of rain. Well, this week I got my wish. It was boiling hot this week! It was nice, but I had an allergic reaction to the sunscreen I was using and broke out in hives... so that was really fun haha.

I finished the Book of Mormon on my own, for the first time this morning! I have never studied the Book of Mormon as much as I have since I have been on my mission. Before I would read it because I thought that I should, but I never really got anything out of it. I have been able to get to know what the prophets wanted us in our day to hear. The Book of Mormon is not an outdated book, the prophets in it truly did see our day! I know that it is true.

I always thought that the knowledge and spiritual witness the the Book of Mormon was true, would come as an undeniable sign form heaven, I have since learned that it is undeniable, but it is more of a feeling then a sign. In 1 Nephi 17:45, Nephi describes his brothers as being "past feeling," Boyd K. Packer in 1994 October General Conference says, "The Holy Ghost speaks with a voice that you feel more than you hear, it is describes as a 'still small voice' And while we speak of listening to the whisperings of the Spirit, most often one describes a spiritual prompting by saying, 'I had a feeling. . . ' Revelation comes as we feel more than hear. Nephi told his wayward brothers, who were visited by an angel, 'Ye were past feeling, that ye could not feel his words.'" The Spirit speaks to us each individually and like it says in Moroni 7:13, everything good comes from God. In President Nelson's talk in the April Conference he talked a lot about personal revelation and I know that we can all receive revelation for our lives and families.

I know that if you follow the promise in Moroni 10:4-5 and ask God with real intent and a sincere heart if the Book of Mormon is true that you will receive an answer that you can't deny.

I love you!!
