It was a good week. We found 5 new people to teach this week, a family of 3 from Venezuela, the parents and their daughter, and also a couple from Honduras! We've only been able to meet with the two families once, but the one family said we could come back, and the other family wants us to come back! The husband even said he'd get off work to hear from us! So that's exciting. The other thing that happen this week is that we asked Catarina how she felt about baptism and we asked her about the goal to be baptized on the 30th of this month, and she really likes the goal and wants to work towards it! It was a good week.
For New Year's we were able to watch It's a Wonderful Life, I was pretty excited because I always watch that with my family during the Christmas time of year. We also stayed up to watch fireworks (there was only like 4 the whole night) and to just be awake for the new year. We also called Elder Baker our district leader so we could tell him happy New Year.
This week in my studies, I read in Matthew, and wanted to share with you guys the beattitudes from the Sermon on the Mount.
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
I don't want to say anything about these 10 verses becuae I will take away from them if I do, plus I know that something different jumped out to everyone of you guys and what I think that is the more important.
See you guys next week!
