Spring Break in St. Louis

Spring break for my kids here in the Liberty School District was 11 days long!  Wow!  I asked the kids where they wanted to explore and they unanimously said St. Louis. It's about a 4 hour drive east of us and we spent 4 days there experiencing the food and some of the many things to do, nearly all were free to attend which was a bonus!

St. Louis Zoo: Capybara, Peter's favorite animal

The Zoo was free to attend, although we had to pay $15 to park.

The St. Louis Science Center was also free with a $7 parking free. It was too big to explore in one day, but we did pay a small fee to go to the planetarium and see a show about the planets. The seats were very comfy and it was hard not to doze off, but the show was awesome.

The Gateway Arch

Our "official" photo at the arch. All the rides to the top were sold out so we spent our time at the free museum on site, which was impressive. (Certain children were not disappointed that it was sold out!)

Turtle Park was a favorite

Fitz's was a great place with good food and awesome flavors of soda

Iconic St. Louis with cracker thin crust. Very good.

Brian grew up with this fast food restaurant, but the kids weren't too impressed.

YUMMMMMY

On our way home we stopped here and it did not disappoint!
