Our journey to Minnesota, day 1

On Wednesday we left at 4:00am sharp to drive 13+ hours to Isanti, Minnesota. We stopped at a few places along I-90 to break up the trip.

First was the Minuteman Missile site which used to house many Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles during the Cold War.

Next was the much looked forward to Corn Palace in Mitchell South Dakota. (Okay, it was just me looking forward to it.)

Yes, everything is made with corn cobs

This Christmas tree is decorated with corn cobs and corn husks.

Across the street was Bible Land!

Back on the road again we saw these strange statues on the side of the road.

And in honor of Little House on the Prairie I took a pic of the Mankato sign in Minnesota!
